CourseLab dead?

CourseLab dead?

I am just wondering whether CourseLab is dead . The last news was released in 2008. The latest version was released in 2008. The latest version available for download is dated Feb 2009.
Are the developers continuing to develop it? I wouldn't like to invest time in learning and using an application that has reached a dead end.

There is a newer version but it's Russian language only.
Quite what's going on? I don't have a clue.
Given that most of the commercial alternatives are working on a 2year life cycle and then usually issuing minor revisions only a year and a bit isn't really so worrying.
But I must admit that it would be nice to know whats going on.

Dear CourseLab users,

CourseLab is not dead, its development is ongoing. New versions of CourseLab (v2.5 and v2.6) were released as a commercial software in Russia in 2008 and 2009. Currently, commercial CourseLab is licensed via HASP USB dongles, and we do not sell it beyond Russia and Eastern European countries because we are not ready to ship it worldwide.

This week the CourseLab team releases CourseLab Teamwork, a web-based solution that allows authors to develop courses using just a web browser and collaborate within a project team (multiple authors and reviewers). CourseLab Teamwork uses the same set of objects as CourseLab v2.6, which is a superset of what you have seen in CourseLab v2.4. Initially, CourseLab Teamwork will be released in Russia, but we will make it available to users of courselab.com in Q4 2010.

Stay tuned!
