When are the next versions being released and where will we find them? I am interested in updated to 2.6.5 and 2.7 as soon as they are available.

The next version as you note will be 2.7 and it is going to be a full commercial release. I would think fairly soon, hopefully this year but it depends on the release model, that is just handled by the Courselab team or using 'local' companies to produce regionalised versions.
It looks good and there are quite a few changes that will be really useful.
I'll see if I can make a small module that has some of the nice stuff available and put it on my web site.

How do you fit more content on a page?? Well tabs are a good way and you could do this in 2.4 using buttons and show/hide actions. It's much nicer just to drop a tabbed object onto the page, AND there's nine main types!! All configurable for colour and styles.
In 2.4 you could make an image gallery like object, just resize your images, make some thumb nails and add lots of show/hide actions. WOW two drag and drop galleries.
There's been some overhaul in the questions and results area. There are now more classes of question types, one to many, many to many AND you can drop a detailed results object onto the page for feedback to your users. OH OH You can use QTI too!! Tie this in with whats called an 'alternative path' object and you can do some neat alternate paths through your module based on specific question responses. It's a bit like SCORM simple sequencing but actually simple!!
One thing I've noticed is that I've not seen an error on Firefox, that is brilliant and something that we've all been looking for.  

For those of us who like to fiddle with code there is an uber neat customise feature.
For all of the objects you can access the Dialog, XML XSL, #XSL and even the icon.
As far as I can see you can make persistant changes to these (??). The possibilities of customisation like this is rather awesome, especially if you can make a new custom object based on a standard object.
Even a clear ID of the code used in a specific object is really helpful for quick hacks and mods.
I need more playtime with this ;)
 

I am still waiting of course for this version 2.7. I have yet to see version 2.6.5 anywhere. How much longer will we have to wait?
 

2.4 is the free english version release, 2.6.n are I think russian language only(?)
The courselab team let me have what I think is the pre-release version of 2.7. It certainly looks and feels ready for release. I think this version has ben designed so that it can be regionalised so the same version can be available in many languages :)
I wouldn't think that it will be very long before this is available, first quarter of next year?  

I am eagerly waiting. I am still very new to designing courses but have noticed that unless you use internet explorer there are some glitches with the loading of a program with mozilla and opera. They have said that the newer version will allow more compatibility and that is what I am seeking. In the meantime.. .I have had to stick to powerpoints which I think are boring.  

I have to agree that powerpoint does deliver the most boring content, then that isn't what it is designed for.
I frequently use web pages for presentation material as I can add a simple menu and make the delivery flexible and non-linear.
The new version 2.7 seems to work on a better range of browsers, I've tried it with webkit, mozilla and chrome where it seems to be quite happy.

There isn't a date attached to this so you should get in contact with the dev team.
I think the new fetures and the control you have over them will make the wait worthwhile, having content work on more browsers is a tremendous bonus.
