Hi Rita
I'm enduring vista too. I did have something similar recently which I put down to the security model. After becoming very frustrated with the constant Are you sure?, do you really want to do this? Well Yes I just told you too!!!!
I modified the security levels and the PC now mostly does what I tell it to. No more denied access.
Got to hope the next version of windows isn't as flakey and slow.
** Check the properties of the folders and your general security settings or roll back to XP.
