CourseLab uses the HASP driver (HASP License Manager) to activate the 30-day trial period. Please check that the HASP driver is installed properly and is running. To do so, please try the following two things:
- Open Services via the Control Panel/Administrative Tools (location may depend on operating system) or launch Task Manager (for Windows 7) and proceed to Services tab. Please check that you have a service called Sentinel HASP License Manager and that the service is running.
- Open http://127.0.0.1:1947 in your browser. This is the web-interface to HASP driver on your computer. The HASP driver configuration screen should appear.
If the HASP driver configuration screen displays OK, please make 3 screenshots - of the HASP Keys tab, of the Products tab, and of the Features tab, and send them to support@courselab.com. We will try to understand what is going on and get CourseLab v2.7 trial up and running on your computer. Also, please let us know what edition of Windows you are using. Please note that the trial version of CourseLab should be installed on a physical machine, it will not run on a virtual machine.
