Some new board features
  View type:
Since Community forum became quite large, we've updated the engine.
New features:
1. Cookie-based authorization
2. Full-text search in messages
3. Filter by main thread topic (we will sort previous messages too)
4. Paged view of threads list
5. E-mail notifications
6. User's status

Also some new features will be available soon in your private cabinet.

Please note, that every CourseLab user is already registered (when you were activating CourseLab app - if you were using valid e-mail [:)]), but you need to login at least once to activate your community account. Use your e-mail and activation code as login/password.

Thank you, the forum is a great help. How about splitting the forum into subsections that each focus on a different aspect of CourseLab?

Eg. Newbie / help forum - for basic help. If a newbie comes to the forum and just sees all these hefty code related topics it can be very intimidating.

LMS issues which could also be split into the various LMS out there. Or start a thread on each of those.

Scripting issues - for those who want to delve deeper into CourseLab.

Bugs etc.

One more feature: personal forum now exists for every registered courselab user. To access your private forum you should switch to "Messages" section of you private cabinet.

To write message to someone's private forum - open user's profile (by clicking on his name in the forum post - only if message is posted by user who logged in) and click on "private forum" link.

Forum's owner will receive notification if message is posted in his forum.

Hi Alex and Slav, Nice new features :) I will add some material that I have passed to other users of the forum once I have tidied them up a little bit, these are just simple how to's.
Is file size a problem, I might post some full modules but (again I will clean up a little and squash AVI's etc)I don't want to use lots of your bandwidth with some of the very image heavy modules that I am currently making.

Nick, you can currently upload up to 10MB scorm packages(maximum size of 1 file).

After upload you should wait for the agent (now workin every hour) that will process SCORM package and create course. We'll add possibility to upload other types of files in the nearest future.

Posted three small 'how to' samples in SCORM 2004, two failed on manifest problems but rewriting the SCORM package seemed to fix it.
One oops was a 0 length file [:o]where I was being a little stupid!! Apologies!!
Is there an option to remove fails or will the server flush them?
Also added to a post by Minoru called ANSWER asking about teacher review of results in SLK. This is a fix I think you're already looking at for a later release 2.4 or maybe 2.5?

The two reloaded scorm zips now show as failed again [:(]

also.. scrolling menu has bin uploaded as file... not as course.. i change type for this upload...

this is bag (or feature :-) ). filenames contains spaces... and not unzipped correctly. fixed. course installed successfully.

I would like to add that we'll very be gratefull for your ideas and suggestions about forum as well as other services of this site. Please feel free to write them in this thread.

In the nearest future we are planning to add the following features:
- upload courses to private cabinet directly from Courselab (new releases) and from site
- invite people to visit your courses, track their success (score them using SCORM/AICC)
- create your own e-learning mini-site

[]such a welcome treat guys.[:)]
may i suggest too a place where one can upload and share free templates.
more power to courselab!
