Navigation Menu Error
  View type:
hi

I'm getting this messgae when trying to navigate slides on the navigation menu - "CallMethod: nav_001_selector JumpToSlide 'jumpto' is udefined"

Hi, JJ!

The possible reason: the module was created in earlier CourseLab version and objects were not updated. Please try menu Module - Update Objects.

yeah that was the first thing i tried and still nothing

Can we look at this module somewhere in the web (or you can send us at support@courselab.com) - if it is not confidential, of course.

yeh i aent in under Navigation Menu Error

Spelling mistake above,
yeah i sent it under heading "Navigation Menu Error"

I THINK THIS IS A BUG,

Strict slide order message will be displayed if the learner will try to jump more than one slide further and strict slide order mode is enabled in Module run-time settings.

Only time I had this happen was when I had set the page only to progress after the user had met defined conditions. The general conditions were set to restrict users jumping slides (strict navigation). I hadn't set up the conditions properly.

Not had any problems jumping in and out of pages with animations or movies on though either pre or during playback.

When I insert the settings tab and I view the module I get this error "CallMethod: nav_006_settings Constructor Object required".

I then tried to add objectives in the Module Runtime Settings and also add a Question object, thinking that the Question object is the constructor object but I still get the same error.

Please help as I have been trying to solve this problem for several days.

Hi, Aileen!

This error can appear for example when you are inserting Settings Tab on the not-master slide. Also try to update objects (menu Module - Update objects).

Hi Slav

Thanks for your reply.

I have checked and the Settings Tab was added on the master slide. I have also done the update objects just like you asked.

Furthermore as I proceeded to Text Boxes I get this error "CallMethod: 002_textbox Constructor Object required" when I add either the 'Shadow' text box or 'Simple' text box into a normal slide.

When I saw your reply I was glad that someone actually replied. However after trying out your solution and it didn't work I am left to wonder what is the problem with this contructor object thingy. []

i still get this message "CallMethod: nav_001_selector JumpToSlide 'jumpto' is udefined"

tried updating objects plus it on the master slide...

(another user)

my experiences:
1. you get this error when putting animations on the Title page
2. you get this when you start from web (instead of CD)
3. you get this if you have a complex animation and start clicking hectically without waiting the animation to finish
-> I put a popup warning on the first screen to warn the user to wait for animation end

Regards
Alexander

i get the error when i press view slide from courselab then try to jump to another slide, plus i have no animation on title page....
