Copy & Paste Slides
  View type:
Hi all,

I'm experiencing problems with copy & paste of slide from a module/course to another.

More precisely, after copying slides, object's name often change (and effects are no more working), and actions of Agents are disappeared !

There is any technique or planned new feature for easily moving slides from course to another ?
Is very important for re-using complicated slides already created.

Many thanks
Have a nice day

Hi, Andrea!
In fact, preserving object IDs/actions binds while copying entire slide does not work. But you can do it another way: just select ALL objects of the slide (Ctrl-A) and copy them to target slide (Ctrl-C -> Ctrl-V). In this case object IDs will be changed, but object IDs used in the actions will be refreshed too.
We plan to fix copying entire slide issues in future releases.

Hi Slav,

thank you for your feedback.
The way you suggested works fine for keeping actions on all objects of the slide, but doesn't work for "action box" (from insert, timeline action menu).

It seems that action box are kept when copying entire slide...

We tested both 2.2 and 2.3 version: I hope future releases will fix copy&paste of entire slide (object's actions and action timeline).

Of course, any other temporary workaround is welcome ...

Many thanks
Have a nice day

Hi, Andrea!
Yes, it is not normal. Hope it will be fixed in next build (scheduled to the end of September).

If it is the odd slide here and there then it looks like you may be out of luck until a future update.

If there are a few slides that are common to many modules then why not use these slides as a starting point for another module?
Thst is strip out all the other components and 'save as' you then reuse these pages, it isn't very elegant but would work.
