Flash 11.1 and Flash Video problem
  View type:
In IE with flash player 11.1 events are not handled PLAY TICK,END OF MEDIA, etc. Any idea? I use course lab 2.4[]

Not of any real importance but 11.1 anza is the mobile devices version.
Not sure what the differences would be.

If you use the flash video object there is the option to use play tick as an event. That's in 2.4 through to 2.7.
Of course if it works depends quite a few other variabbles like the browser, the specific syntax of calls made or responses picked up.
It could be anything even a fault in the 11.1.102.55 anza code, it was only released in Nov so is pretty fresh. 11.1 is also a mobile device specific version which also might throw up other problems.

It ought to work but flash has changed through a versions in the past 3 years.
The 2.4 version was made when 9.3 to 10 were current

I refer to the version of Flash Player ActiveX 11.1.102.55. It is probably a problem with the flash video player that can not communicate with the browser. With previous versions of flash player everything works. The problem is quite serious because it forces users to downgrade flash player. [:(]

It might be a change in the default security settings in the flash player version, these are detailed at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html

I notice that for mobile devices this is essentially the final version, also that adobe are going to let HTML 5 technology be used to play flash based content.
If you thought that flash could be a security risk then HTML 5 is a potential disaster!!
