Flash video questions

Hello again - couple questions:

1. When I add a FLV video directly to a courselab page it does not appear when previewed. The area is blank. I don't have this problem with SWF files.

2. I would also like to have a flash video pop-up when a button is selected on the main page. I see where it is possible to reference external HTML, but want to make sure all of my contents are embedded within my CourseLab project (meaning, I don't want to post externally and have to manage files outside of CourseLab).

Can someone provide a good solution for this?

Many thanks for all of the help!

- Jon

Hi, Jon!
1. CourseLab has no special player for Flash Video files, therefore FLV files need to be embedded in SWF to be played in CourseLab modules. It can be made quite easy using Adobe Flash (and perhaps with some third party utilities). It's not ideal solution though, but that's what will work.
2. You can make Flash-movie object invisible by default, and switch it to visible by DISPLAY action (and use the PLAY method of Flash-movie object). In this case all files will be within your project. That's first that I thought, perhaps there are another solutions also.
