Creating a template
  View type:
Newbie question: I want to create 10 very similar but entirely separate tests. I have made the first one and published it, and everything is great. I now want to make a second one using the first one as a template and just editing things. If I do that, I can then publish the second test, but won't I have lost my original copy of the first published test? I guess I am looking for a "Save As" type of function and not finding it. Help?!

Hi, Mark,

You can use Save in My Templates option in Module (or Service) menu (sorry, have no CL at hand, and don't remember exactly), and then use this template creating new modules.

I am too facing this problem. I do not know how to create a template and I did not find this option "Save in My Template".

Could you give us more details about this, please?

In the TOOLS menu you'll find what you want Add Module To Templates. This drops your current module into the my templates area where you can recall it at will.

A note for Vista users (other than don't!! revert to XP) is that the programs folder has some special rights applied to it which can prevent files from being changed. In this case you may have problems adding a module to the my templates area
When you install Courselab on Vista you should really put it into your profile or a sperate folder on the HDD.

I created a very basic course with 2 slides using the color scheme I wanted. I then copied the course folder to another folder of a different name and renamed the wcl file within it to the new course name.
