Courselab, Blackboard, and FireFox
  View type:
Guys,

Question for you. I have Career and Technical education instructors who are using CourseLab to create content on BlackBoard. They are publishing CourseLab to CD (they are not ready for SCORM) compress the folder, and upload it into the Blackboard Content Collection area. They then link to the folder, and uncompress it using the autorun.html as the entry point.

It works as it should in IE 7, but Firefox shows the autorun page, then opens a black new window.

What do you suggest? These folks are excited about CourseLab, but I do not want FireFox to be an excuse for some not to use it.

Any help is appreciated.

Firefox has an addon called IE Lite. I have used that for courselab and works great.

Thanks for the hint Lawrence. I will give it a shot. BTW, if I may ask, what part of the US and how are you using CourseLab? I am in Mississippi using it with Career and Technical education as well as Workforce Training. What kind of reaction are you gettinng to the product?

I am in Dallas. I am using CourseLab both at work and in developing courses for private and non-profit organizations. So far everyone loves it. I have added catchy graphics, animation, and sound (voice and other). So far I have had a lot of compliments instead of complaints on some of the boring on-line courses our agency uses.
