Timeline How To not working
  View type:
I cannot figure out why the Timeline How To doesn't work as it should with me. I am using CourseLab 2.4 and Windows XP Professional.

At the fourth slide where the animation should start after you have clicked the text box, it seems like it is going to some other frame further in the sequence and there is no animation. The same thing happens at the 5th slide.

Just as an experiment I changed the action event of the balloon of the fourth slide to go to the 2nd frame of the 5th slide, the animation then continued!!! (of that slide) I did the same thing with slide 5 and pointed the action GO TO, to the 2nd frame of slide 4. The animation then started but did not complete. Very strange!!! I updated objects, checked the identifiers and everything seems correct. This really baffles me!!

Hi, Marius,

Just suggestion - perhaps the objects are not updated from 2.3 and in 2.4 their behavior is not normal. To update objects please select Update objects command from Module menu.

Hello Slav

I had already done as you suggest without success. I have really spent a long time to try and discover what the problem might be.

I have discovered something interesting. In the Timeline How To you sometimes have to click on an object to proceed. If it calls the GoTo action from an event and the item it needs to go to is the next frame or even a frame in the same slide, it does not work. The animation does not continue. This is the case with slides 4 and 5.

If I VIEW the particular frame i.e. frame 2 of both slides 4 and 5, the animation continues. If I set Advance to a specific time so that it does not have to call the GOTO action the whole animation continues as it should.

It seems as though the problem is when GOTO is called from a certain event. If the item to which it should go is another slide or a frame on another slide, it works i.e. if there is an animation it continues.

[]Strange!!?
