If i put moodle in the search for textbox and click Search it refreshes the web page and it shows the same threads instead of the moodle related ones.

I use Chrome or IE8 to do this search.

Try using the site search icon at the top of the page (between the house and the mail icon).

I have had success finding forum posts using this search tool instead of the Forum specific search function.

Indeed it worked perfectly!!
