Hey, great, I love freeware...but, Can I use this software to develop an elearning course, and then sell that course? Or would I have to distribute the course free?

Good news, the licence allows you to do what you like apart from re-engineering the base code. The source code isn't available so it's under a restrictive GPL type licence.
So anything you produce on Courselab can be given away or sold as you wish. Don't forget to ensure you have the rights to use the content from text to illustrations and sound.
If you do really well don't forget the Dev Team!!
