Does this forum work?
  View type:
Hi,
[]
According to this page there are 885 threads, I can see 50. There are no 'next page' links.
If I 'filter by main thread topic' I see exactly the same list no matter which topic I choose.
If I search for a keyword I see exactly the same list.
I'm using ie7 in Vista.

It would be nice if someone would repair forum. Last year it worked great. It is a great base of ideas and solving problems. Please, if someone try to put the forum into a functioning state. The new academic year will started and the students will use CourseLab, which is a very effective tool for producing e-materials and also as a learning tool.

Hi Paul
At the moment it doesn't work, the search doesn't and there are some really interesting things tucked away in there.
Hopefully it will be working again soon.

Hi Nick,

Many thanks for the reply.
Would be good to get at the info. I only found Courselab a couple of days ago and it looks head and shoulders above the other progs I've found, but I am struggling with the documentation...

Regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul
The manual is not bad, it's the viewpoint it's written from that is its weakness.
Most people more want a 'how to' manual with a tech supplement. The 'how to' component is whats missing. Most of it is suprisingly straight forwards, you don't need to go much beyond the available drop in components to start with. Even then there are quite a few options available, again mostly pretty obvious.
Dive in, the best idea is to make something simple and then expand it with features. Run and debug in small steps

Nick is being humble - search on Google for 'Friends of Courselab' and you will find his site.[:D]

There are a load of good example lessons to help you get started.

There is also a Quick Start guide which will also set you on the right path.

Many thanks Bob & Nick.

I've had a quick look & will have to go for a good read.

Thanks again.
