How to create course for visually disabled people?
  View type:
Hi,

I want to create course which can be useful for visually disabled people.

Is it course lab supports for this type of functionality.

I tried same with html page.
e.g. I want to described image detail then I used
longdesc attribute of html img tag.

"<IMG height=327 alt="Starflower and Jasmine" src="HTML LONGDESC - HTML Code Tutorial_files/sfjasmine2.jpg" longdesc="http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/images/longdescsfj.html" width=291>"

In this way can I add description for course lab's image object.
If any one tried for this please help me!!!!

Thanks and Regards

Varsha it might be worth you looking at this site http://nihseniorhealth.gov .
In this case most of the assistive components are server based but the general concepts should be repeatable as courselab local events.
The two colour schemes especially the 'contrast' is very good for the visually impaired.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. But I don't getting answer of my quries.

Using Courselab, I want to create SCORM course which contais images then I want to provide same course for visually disabled people(blind). How can they understand images.

In web page "longdesc" attribute of "image" tag conatins source file of image description.

When user press "Enter" button then screen reader reads description of image detail from longdesc source file.(This is possible using JAWS screen reader).

How to acheived same using Course lab.
Please provide me detail about this with sample.

Thanks & Regards
