I'm not sure if there's a thread with the same subject, but I've checked and I don't find what I need.

I'm creating a course like this:
UNIT 1
Lesson 1
Lesson 2
Lesson 3
UNIT 2
Lesson 1
Lesson 2
Lesson 3...

I'd like to block the modules so that the students only are able to enter until they take a placement exam:
I mean, the students take the quiz and start in the module they need according to their results. Then, they are able to enter the current module and the previous ones, but not the following ones until they complete the one they were placed to.

Is it possible?

Note: Sorry if I'm not clear with my explanation, but I don't know English very well.

You can do this, but how you do depends on the way you have set up the units and how you are delivering them.
It is easiest to use an LMS such as Moodle to manage this for you BUT you can still make it work outside of an LMS, say using a CD delivered set of lessons. You do need to remember that outside of an LMS the module has no memory of it's last use, so once you start you need to finish or the next time you return you have to start again.

Secondly, I'd like to know if there's an example to learn how to create the conditions, because to be honest with you I don't understand about codes and javascripts. I'm creating my course through the examples provided in your web page and according to my poor knowledge with other similar programs.
P.D. I know that it's easier with moodle, in fact my web-site is in moodle and that's why the idea of doing this, but I find it better to put everything into a single file in courselab.

I was checking the course "multi_strand" and I tried to do as indicated, but I couldn't so I would appreciate if you could send me the files to check the whole process.
By the way, I was trying to use the action ELSE and when I run the module, it appears a window saying "Error the object doesn't accept the action" What's wrong?
