The Download tab says the editor needs Windows 2000/XP/2003 but no mention of Vista, whereas Vista is mentioned for the viewer. Does this mean that the editor doesn't work in Vista?

Works fine in Vista.
If you want to save your own generated templates then you either need to switch off UAC or run as admin.

FYI The generated content runs on IE up to the most current beta with full functionality.
Firefox can cause some problems, the latest beta is an improvement.
