Recovering course variables values from LMS
  View type:
Good morning,

We're developing courses for the University of Cordoba (Spain) with your tool and we're using them with Moodle. I need to know if it's possible to recover variable and objectives data from LMS in order to use SCORM sequencing.

Thanks

Hi Sergio,
You'll find a few threads on this, it depends on the version of Moodle and the SCORM version you're using.
You may find the strand started by Alan Wiggington on setting cmi.exit in scorm 2004 modules used on module of use.
There are also one or two covering the question that you're asking.

Hi Sergio
Dave price is trying to find a method of recovering these variables, particularly objectives from within Courselab and, seems to have had some results with variables but not objectives.
Have you looked at the Task Controller tool (in the Simulations tab) This uses module variables and objectives to overlay complex sequencing in the module. This tool should allow multiple and variable paths (??).
The manual gives this very little information on this but I think it is the key to extending the modules sequencing. However it is also the most complex tool within courselab.
In any case if you do get some usable results can you document what and how you did this as I'm sure that others will be interested.

Thanks, Nick.
