I have a completed course that was working great. I ran update objects and now when I publish all of the images of a red x in the top left corner as if they are missing but the image is there.

Any clues?

just a thought
save them into a folder in your My Documents folder

Then go to each place holder in your project and use Browse to tell the program where the image is - again
(I know - a right pain)

Course Lab will copy them into its own folder. [:D]

perhaps you have copied some objects from other module|course? In this case you need to make sure, that your custom images were copied too.
No other suggestions...
