I have just downloaded Courselab and it looks like a great program - just what I need!

I am trying to decide the best format to use to display video files, and I am leaning toward flash, however I am having difficulty trying to understand how to incorporate flv format.

If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.

Hi Linda, one consideration you should make is the target platform. If you expect use in a 'corperate' environment don't forget that they are often several player versions behind the current and best.
Assume the worst, the table below shows the player needed for the version of encoding
Version Player needed
6 6, 7 or 8
7 7 or 8
8 8

Best bet is to use version 6 unless you are sure the target PC's have the players. You can enforce a check at the module start up but the security schema may mean the user cannot update.

I am sing Macromedia Flash. Just publish the Flashfile as swf. Done several times and it works just great.You need to remember the size of the swf to great the right size Object thats all. Flv i never tried. Sorry
