Autostart video error?
  View type:
This appears to be a bug:

I have inserted a video clip, which automatically detects Windows Media PLayer.

When set to autorun on slide loading - there is a doubling of the soundtrack, resulting in an echo effect. If I pause the video - a single soundtrack keeps playing - (the soundtrack was recorded in the same file as the video.

However if I switch settings to manually start the video - the sound is perfectly normal.

Not sure if its your issue or Windows Media Player - but I thought people might like to know.

Hi, Richard!
Is your course made with CourseLab 2.3, or built in (or started) with 2.2? There might be similar feature in 2.2. video object, therefore if you did not update the objects, it may be legacy feature.

Its 2.3 and this course has been built only after upgrading.

Looks quite strange then... I tried in IE, FF and Opera - no effects like that. May I look at the sample somewhere?

I am having the same problem after upgrading to 2.3. I had some students working with me while I demonstrated CourseLab.

The video files played well in 2.2 and they play well when directly opened in IE. They play with a double audio track in 2.3.

If the presentation is closed and restarted, one audio track starts at the beginning and the second track starts at the point where the presentation was closed. I tried it on 2 different computers.

Attached is the publication directory with this presentation.

Sorry, I could not attach to this message. If you want to see the file, email me directly and I will send it to you.

Thanks for all your hard work on this

If the video file is placed in an iFrame rather than a media player, it will play fine. It seems the media player is competing with the browser's player (???).
