SWF is widely used for multimedia, vector graphics and ActionScript. Because of its poor compatibility, more and more people who have a desire to play SWF in iTunes, QuickTime, iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc are trying to convert SWF to MOV, a Mac-friendly format.

Here is a step by step guide to convert SWF to MOV at: faasoft.com/articles/convert-swf-to-mov.html

It also applies to convert SWF to MP4, AVI, WMV, MKV, FLV, ASF, MP3, WAV, etc.

The best played files for iPad is MOV files. To play SWF files on your iPad, you will require a free SWF to MOV converter for mac which will help you to convert your SWF files into MOV and thereafter you can play it on your iPad with perfect video and audio quality. To free download visit - http://www.video-converters.org/swf-mov-convertermac.php

To play SWF files on iPad, there are two solutions:

1.Convert SWF to HTML5 format including WebM, mp4 or OGG format which can be played directly on iPad without flash plug-in installed. You just need an browser that supports the new HTML5 format.

2. Convert SWF to iPad(http://www.jihosoft.com/flash-tutorials/convert-swf-to-ipad.html) supported video codec like H.264 or MPEG-4, then you can directly transfer the converted video to play on iPad with iTunes or QuickTime.

To play SWF files on iPad with sound remained, one of the methods is to convert SWF files to videos.

Great idea there igrowing, lets convert the content to a format that the VAST majority of your audience won't be able to use.
Coverting flash to MP3/4 is a good idea, it should play on virtually any platform.
Coverting to a proprietry format like ipad/2/3 not so good.
We should be aiming to make any learning materials inclusive and not exclusive.

Ilker it can't have passed you by but you are aware that Apple doesn't support flash??
Instead of using the proprietry flash format that works on virtually all non apple systems you have to use the ipad video format that works on Ipads and some macs.
To solve it you might want to convert the swf to ipad (of course it then won't work on PCs or Linux systems) and embed it in an iframe.

You might be able to use flowplayer for this on ipads.
Worth looking into if this is your target device, otherwise you are going to have to convert the flash stuff out to MP4 format and use that instead.
