Potential problem using the call function
  View type:
Scenario - A user jumps to a page using a call function where the only method of return is a 'return' - they then exit the scorm package back to the LMS. Then on returning they are returned to a page and stranded there

Is there any way to prevent this from happening - otherwise does the 'call' function not pose some risks

The SCORM API also passes a 'where I am' message to the LMS. This is then used when you resume the module, you'd need to disable this in the settings of the LMS for that module. It should then resume without jumping to the specific page but will flag the visited pages.
It isn't a function that the module explicitly controls, it is an action of the LMS.
